DAY 2 (12/12)

Today is Qian’s birthday! Maybe I can use my dad’s laptop later to wish her on facebook. If there’s any Internet. And sheesh, I miss using my laptop. Withdrawal?
Anyway, I wrote in point form earlier but rewriting it now. Had a bad headache when I woke up due to poor sleep. Jaian kept opening and closing the curtains and our dad burst in and whipped open the curtains without a thought for the still sleeping Liana and I.

We were made to wake up and eat breakfast downstairs despite my mom’s misleading words about being able to “sleep until we feel good”. -.- Breakfast was buffet; and it wasn’t bad. I was slightly feverish so my mom let Liana and I sleep a while more while they swam. We woke up at 11am – late – so we had to rush down in our panjabis to set off to my grandfather’s village.

It was a 2 hours car journey where I experimented with various sleeping positions and suffered from the cramped-ness in the car. The village was along a hill, with Uncle Manoj’s house near the top. We don’t speak Malayalam so we just spent our time trying to be nice, smile and nod. :/

However, my relatives were really nice and we met 10 cousins aged 10 to 32. We went for a long walk in the forest behind the village, passing by a small paddy field and many rubber trees (the area used to be a thriving rubber plantation). We witnessed a cow being milked (o.o), saw an adorable cat and several chickens. There was a rooster too (Liana’s kin hahaha) and we heard much barking, though we didn’t actually see any dogs. We even saw several kids (the young of a goat) and a goat, plus a few oxen along the way.

We distributed the gifts my father and grandmother brought, then had lunch. It was good, though some curries were really spicy (o.o), but overall I enjoyed it.
We left after a few hours there. The farewells were awkward for us but my father and grandparents were reluctant to leave because they felt so at home there. I only found out a few of their names… And my father said “don’t worry, they can speak English”. -.-

It was a long journey back home as we took a longer but much less bumpy road and an unnecessary detour. We reached the hotel after 7pm and slacked until it was time to meet the well-connected friend of my grandfather’s for dinner at another (far, far away) hotel.

Dinner was okay; nothing too special. The whole place was so dim that I could barely see what I was eating... One thing about India; there are SO many stars at night. That made the night good. (:

Time to end! Siblings starting to think about Singapore already. I’m just thinking about One Piece and my friends. Zoro! <3 Hahahaha. Night!

DAY 1 (11/12)

Stayed in: Taj Hotel (Room 407) in Trivandrum

Today in Singapore, it was packing plus visiting my Chinese grandparents’ house in the morning. Slept quite late the day before so I fell asleep at their house. When we returned home it was packing all the way.

So, anyway, the plane ride was about 4 hours (including the waiting time). We went to the airport earlier to have dinner (at Crystal Jade with my uncle and aunt), and it was pretty tasty. I heeded my mom’s instructions and bought some po zhai and diarrhoea pills after we checked in.

The flight was long and arduous and boring. I literally stoned for half the flight, and couldn’t sleep due to my blocked nose. Only managed to doze off for a short while and read the New York Times too. The food was okay – curry fish and rice.
When we touched down, I realized how different Singapore and India are. Seriously different. The airport we landed in had no aircon, only fans, and the equipment were in a rundown state. My aunt did tell me not to expect too much so I wasn’t that surprised.

Apuppa’s friend is so well-connected that we were the first in queue after touching down, then there were 2 cars waiting to pick us up. We were sent to the Taj Hotel – impressive security checks! – then waited a bit before checking in. The three of us children are to be staying together, so I must be the responsible eldest sister and keep things in check. Hahaha.

Okay I will end here. Kerala has many stray dogs, beaches with scarily large waves, dilapidated buildings mixed in with nice ones, many stars and was cleaner than I expected.

SAJC: Part 1

It's been an incredibly long time since I posted here. :O

So...what should I post about?

Hmm, writing about promos is boring, until I get the results back next week. Friday, to be exact. =/

So I shall write about the people I have met in SAJC!

Cassandra a.k.a. Cass: The first friend I had in 09S19 (though not the first one I talked to since she came a day late!). :D We have a lot in common and it's cool to find someone who thinks a lot like me. Plus, it's fun to find her 5 people when in the canteen, though more often that not 3 of them are together. xDDD I'll buy noodles with you when I'm not so hungry next time! (:

Linda a.k.a. Lindo: I thought she and Qian Ying were a formidable duo when I first went to 09S19. Now, almost a year later, I realise she is C-R-A-Z-Y! Haha. She and her MMM and smiley. xD But she's fun and I like going to her house to play rock band/ guitar hero! ;)

Qian Ying a.k.a. Qian: Now, SHE'S the first person who talked to me in 09S19. :D One-half of the 'formidable duo'. Plus she's really smart and sporty, and we thought she'd never get an EC! But now she has - TDH a.k.a. SK. xD Now everytime we go canteen we confirm see at least one of ours. x) (<--Cass's favourite smiley face)

Sherly: The MOST sensible one in SCALY by far. Heh. xD She's sensible, responsible and reliable and sometimes quite quirky too.

Man, my writing streak is waning. =/ Maybe I'll continue next time~

And cheer up Cass!!!!!!!!! You have us! (:

I'm kind of overwhelmed with jc life. Everyone has such high expectations of me...>.< Just because I did well for CA 1. (It was O-level stuff for chem and math...!) I was just lucky...

So many things in my mind....

I need to sort out my thoughts.

And do some homework while I'm at it...

Standing broad jump: 173 (same as sec 4)
Sit-ups: 41 (same as sec 4)
Sit-and-reach: 48 =oooo (better!)
Inclined pull-ups: 15 (worse...)
Shuttle run: 10.8!!! (best I ever had was 11.3+) ^o^

I feel accomplished. But there's still the 2.4km run next week. =x

I'm glad I joined guitar. Slacker than AHS guitar, that's for sure, but a lot of the seniors are pro man. :D

Gotta go. Homework to do. ><

100th Post!!!!!!

Sian. So sian. So much work.

I've adapted to my new class already, thankfully. :) There're only 18 people in my class, so it's much easier to bond. Only 3 boys and 15 girls. xD I still sit with about 5 or 6 OG members every morning before assembly. :) Hope that'll continue...

The lessons are difficult, and I find myself falling asleep during the lectures...zzzZZZ...I make an effort to keep awake, of course, but I fear faring badly in my tests, MSA1, next week. =_=

Today was the SAJC cross-country - 3.6 kilometres - and I was aiming to get top 200 out of over a thousand girls (J1 + J2 running together). Fortunately, I got the 83rd spot; unfortunately, I threw up after the run...-_- It was my fault for eating breakfast (an egg) just before going to East Coast Park. I still feel accomplished, though. :D Not so thrilled about throwing up. xD

Last but definitely not least, I joined back guitar ensemble. The SAJC one isn't very well-acclaimed, not like TJ, for example, but I hope we can do well at this year's SYF! :D The seniors are really nice (a bit intimidating at first), and there're about 10 JC1s who joined the senior ensemble. I hope I can get into the SYF; last time in 2007 was a great experience. ^____^

P.S. Learning Japanese Elementary Stage II now; finished Stage I. I can't speak well at all, but I can recognise the Hiragana and Katakana characters pretty easily. :D

P.P.S. Piano Theory Exam next week! O.O O.O O.O >< I'm SO DEAD. I haven't even studied one thing and I'm pathetically unprepared. Ah well.

If anyone is wondering which junior college I went, it's Saint Andrew's.

Yeah. I didn't manage to make it into temasek. =/ I was a little disappointed, especially since the appeal didn't go through, but that feeling is ebbing away... ... (only 1 point away from cut-off!) Still, I don't mind SAJC anymore. =)

I'm not much of a believer in fate, but this was odd. When my brother was applying for a primary school, my father chose St. Andrew's Junior School, simply because it was his alma mater. But since it was soooo far away, he appealed to Temasek Primary, but it did'nt go through. Spot the similarity? I also applied for Temasek but got St. Andrew's. =o

I can't help feeling alone and a bit of trepidation...I always feel that I'm forced to make a new start every time it comes to an important decision in my life.

1. Going to Anglican High, being a non-Chinese (not fully, anyway) and all.

2. Choosing triple science Lit although no one from 2B was choosing that combination (at least, at that time and that I know of).

3. Dropping Higher Chinese and having to switch to a class where I only knew 2 people (3B). Not that I regretted that; those two years were great! =P

4. Going to SAJC. There're a few AHS people there (about 16/17). I recognise them by face. =o It's scary making new friends in a whole new environment.

5. And just when I was getting used to my OG, we got posted to our classes and NO ONE from my OG got in. (only one person was taking the same combination as me, and he had to get in the only other class with this combination...-_-")

Sheesh.

Do I sound pessimistic? I'm not. I'm really trying my best to adapt to SAJC. The orientation was great and I hope the next two years will be nice...

And if anyone is wondering what subject combination I'm taking, I chose Biology, Chemistry, Math and Economics. ALL H2. Yep. Why am I stressing myself out? I too do not know. =S It's going to be difficult. I have to write THREE essays for H2 econs....

Well, parents a-nagging.

This is an amazing song by them. Junsu's adlib at the end is FANTASTIC! He is such a talented singer...I literally feel breathtaken every time I hear him singing in their songs.

The thing is, once you have a favourite band, every song by them will be nice. Because I don't just hear the song as a whole; I hear their individual voices(and marvel at voices no doubt). Especially Junsu's part. <3

O-level results today...

Today was D-Day.

Congratulations to everyone who got back their results today. No matter how you fared, at least it's over. =) *cough*My English results were horrible T_T*cough

I'm more or less pleased with my results, considering I had no tuition at all, save for Chinese. So the results I achieved were based only on the teachers in school, my friends who helped me and myself. ^^

Anyway, I realise our time at Anglican High is truly over. Well, I am still going back to support the guitar ensemble for SYF, so I guess I can set foot there again. xD

I have to go now. Feel like mourning my English results but there's no use for that. To those who are disappointed/regretful, don't worry too much. In a few years, the O-levels will be but a distant memory. I'm not very good at consoling so I hope what I said made sense.

Man, am I terrified for the o-level results.

Everyone(in my family) expects me to do well (oh, you're from a sap school, o-levels should be a breeze for you). >< I think I'm going to disappoint them...Nevermind, I should stop thinking so much about it. What's done is done...

O-levels aside, I have been playing the piano a lot lately. I've been playing, yes, but I didn't say anything about me playing well. xD I can't even master one song! Maybe it's the stress. -_-" Ah well, I'll keep at it and hope I get better. Come to think of it, my piano theory exam is in March. =o

I also quit my drawing/writing spree. All inspirations have deserted me. >< I hope I get past this block. Maybe not. I'll have to start school in two weeks. That was fast...why are the results coming out tomorrow????!!!! I can't write anymore, my brain's muddled up.

Yes, the sunlight outside is indeed blinding.

Anyway, the collection of the Edusave Scholarship was on Saturday. It was over surprisingly fast (an hour or so), but dreadfully boring. It was very hot as well, and sitting shoulder to shoulder, row after row did not help to alleviate the heat.

I was in the first row. o.o I could see everything that was going on, especially when the minister Raymond Lim came, but then again, I had to sit upright and not fidget all the time because everyone could see the first row. -_-

I was happy to get the scholarship this year because I didn't get one in Sec 3 (no surprise there, my grades weren't good). It was my sister's first time getting it (she's in sec 4 as of 2009), so she was pretty pleased. :] Two of our taekwondo friends were there as well (one a year older, one a year younger than me). I saw a few people from AHS, but not many.

On Sunday it was my taekwondo grading. I had gone on a long, brisk walk with my parents on Saturday morning and my waist hurt somehow. o.O My siblings and my dad were also taking this grading, but my mom didn't want to.

You see, for the brown belt grading, we were supposed to memorise ALL the patterns starting from yellow belt. That meant memorising 7 patterns. >< We woke up early in the morning to practice, and by 9 we were at Toa Payoh Sports Hall for the exam. It's a day-long event with many many clubs taking part.

At 10.30 it was our turn. My sister, Ming Wei (sec 1 boy in our class), this unknown boy and me arranged ourselves. Luckily, I remembered the patterns (only 2 are tested out of the 7), while my sister forgot a little (wasn't noticeable; she told me). My jumping backthrust stunk but I didn't fall (yay!).

For the sparring I got Ming Wei first. Lol, we kicked backthrust at the same time and our legs hit. xD Then we had to switch for the second round. The examiner apparently didn't want me to spar my sister (afraid we'd be more lax), so I sparred the unknown boy who was almost a head shorter. o.O He had alot of strength though.

Our feet collided when we both kicked a front kick. Man, that hurt! There was a very audible 'pah!' sound (my father and brother heard it). I was so relieved when the grading was over! ^^ I hope all of us pass.

Oh yeah...I saw someone at the grading whom I also saw at the Edusave Scholarship. 2 days in a row...What a coincidence! o.O I shan't say who.

Anyway, my foot is swollen now and boy does it hurt. It's probably because I didn't pay any attention to it. Ah well. -_-"

Argh, the stupid show last night was NOT the show I wanted to watch. No DBSK at all! What are the odds that every year they participate in that show except when it comes to this year? -_-" My sister was so disappointed...as am I...

Anyway, I watched Junsu's piano battle online. It wasn't much of a piano battle after all, more like a SINGING+piano battle. People don't give Junsu enough credit though. I mean, he did sing incredibly (so so so powerful! ><) and play the piano at the same time.

Whereas the other guy's voice wasn't so wonderful. Taeyung did play the piano well, but so did Junsu. It's just because they keep on showing Taeyung's hands playing the song, but only showed Junsu's face, so people said Junsu didn't play much (???he played for the whole song!).

Okay, maybe I'm a little biased, but that doesn't mean Taeyung was bad. He was good too, it's just that Junsu was better. =3

I have to go now. But before I do:

I didn't get to watch the piano battle, but I will tonight. My dad subscribed to the Korean channel a long time ago and I just found out yesterday. =0 I can't wait. ^^

Anyway, I realised I posted quite a number of my pictures, and it's becoming a handy archive. ^^ I say that because my sister accidentally spilt black paint over one of my drawings (the one with the boy and the girl in waiter uniforms). T_T I guess it's my fault cause I shouldn't have left the paint lying around...T_T The drawing's ruined...

I decided colouring my pictures all the time is too tiring...

So...I drew two just using a 2B mechanical pencil. ^^

A piano battle with Junsu???!!!!

Oh my goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tonight on the online channel sbs Junsu is having a PIANO BATTLE with some guy from Big Bang(Taeyung?). =D =D =D I knew Junsu could play the piano but a piano battle???? Yoochun's the one always playing the piano and composing the music so this came as a shock (to all the fans out there lol)

Okay, I'm not usually this high on my blog. xD I can't wait (except I may not be able to watch it online since my brother has to sleep...T_T)

Aaahhhh, I can't wait. Taeyung's supposedly more open with his piano skills while not many people know junsu can play the piano...so I'm worried for Junsu. I know he'll do his best though; he always does his best in everything he participates in. (he's such a perfectionist that sometimes it's scary o.o)

I mean, he has a reputation for his incredible dancing, SUPER AMAZING (and heart-melting) voice, and now piano-playing. What next? Oh yeah, and he's a second dan in blackbelt for taekwondo. Wowowowow. Okay, now I'm getting high again. xD

Anyway, enough about Junsu, I coloured another picture this morning:

Had the fourth Japanese class today.

Aaah, a bug just crawled into my keyboard. O.O It's out now...eeww. =o

Anyway, forget about the bug...

Every year, my new year party is either at my aunt's place or my family friend's place. But my aunt's maid is not in Singapore so no party there...and my family friend isn't having one either!

So my family is going to my father's cousin's party...No offense, but I'm sad because the tradition is broken. =( I always look forward to New Year's, but it's different this year. The worst part is, my cousins probably aren't coming to the party my family's going to...and as I'm not too close to my second-cousins...oh well. T_T

On a lighter note, these days I've been colouring a few of my pictures. Here's another one:

Went for a dinner and a Christmas party last night...slept only around 1am. ^^ The dinner was okay (though one of the children was a little anti-social). Oh well.

The party was quite fun; we played pictionary.

Tomorrow is my fourth Japanese lesson and I haven't done the homework the teacher assigned us. =o

I think it's a lack of sleep...I have been sleeping late everyday...ZZzzz

Anyway, I've been taking a Japanese class recently. 3 lessons have passed. It wasn't too bad and the teacher's really humorous. (though I think he can be really fierce if he wants to be)

My sister's sick today so my dad asked me to prepare lunch for her. I took out everything from the fridge, put the various curries in a bowl and made them hot. I mixed it with the rice then took a spoon and gave everything to her.

What she says: "That doesn't look appetising at all. You didn't mix it nicely."

What the hell???!!!!!

And she goes on to say: "I always mix nicely for you." When in the world did she EVER make food for me when I was sick? It's either my mum or the maid, but I don't recall her. >:[ I can't believe she had the audacity to say that.

And my dad even supported her. He said I must prepare lunch with my heart. What rubbish! If I didn't use my 'heart', I wouldn't have even bothered.

Ugh. I'm so mad right now.

Younger siblings are such a pain.

Christmas is coming

Christmas time is upon us. :]

I didn't get a job this holiday...and I do wish I did. It would have been a good experience. Oh well.

Anyway, my family held a Christmas party on Saturday. Almost everyone we invited came (only one of the kids didn't; he had to work), and it was pretty fun. :] The children (two who are the same age as me, one P6 girl, my 23-year-old cousin and my 2 siblings) played Mafia. ^^

Hmm...I forgot what I created this post for....=o

I just read this book, "Sophie's world". It's a philosophical book, with information about numerous philosophers and scientists throughout the ages. Like Socrates, Aristotle, Plato, Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin etc. etc. etc.

I had a REALLY weird feeling when I read the book...the book is so surreal. It forces people to think out of the ordinary; makes people wonder why we're here and how things came to be...My head was floating and dizzy after I read it...woah. The storyline's downright odd, but I enjoyed the splashes of humour here and there. ^^

Anyway, this has been a long enough post, so bye.

DBSK still going super strong!

I wish I could use the computer without my father constantly reminding me not to use it too long (which I haven't...)

Oh well.

Anyway, I realise many people I know are going to Taiwan. I wonder why? o.O

I've been pretty busy lately, why I don't really know, because it's the holidays now and I should have plenty of time...

My craze over DBSK has not and will not end(at least for a long time to come). They're still so amazing! They are so talented; especially Junsu who tries his best in everything he does.

I watched a korean variety show (Star King) today; where three of the DBSK members were guest stars. Ahaha, Junsu sang so well. There was this singing android (man, it looked so REAL). It was so creepy, like a real human only you could see obvious non-human qualities. And there were two kids(10 and 12) from Japan who danced really well (WOW).

This one's about DBSK. Hmmm...

They're (amazingly) talented, good-looking, great singers, superb dancers...and so on. =D I really love their acapella.

They appeared on two episodes of E.H.B., a show where they explore the human body. DBSK had a special appearance on the show (which usually features only Super Junior).

Endless dreams...

Sigh...I'm quite depressed.

Today was the taekwondo tournament. All my opponents didn't show up...so I got the gold award by default. =S I really didn't feel like I deserved it..and I really wanted to have the experience of sparring in a real tournament....T_T

My friend's mom was really nice though...she told me the fact that I came to fight in my first ever tournament was an achievement in itself and I shouldn't be disappointed. Her two kids told me that my opponents not showing up was their own fault and I should be happy because I did train hard for it anyway. =) They're so nice. ^^ But I still feel really really disappointed for some reason.

Oh well.

Prelims are coming up soon. Hopefully I can get below ten again this time around. (midyears - L1R5 8). I doubt it. I haven't really studied at all. I'm so screwed. All I've been doing is the papers the teachers keep on giving us. And even so, I don't finish them. Darn.

I was happy with my 2.4 on Mon. =) Got position 21. Last year was 65 or something. Must have been all the taekwondo.

SIGH. Didn't take my exams on Wednesday.

Here's what happened:
Woke up at 2+/ 3am, felt queasy. Went back to sleep.

Woke up again at 4+am, felt really queasy, went to toilet and threw up.

The rest passed by in a blur. Threw up 6 times (o.o), went to the doctor's, got medicine. Stopped throwing up. Found out I had a fever. -_- Soooo....slept practically the rest of the day, not counting waking up several times with a burning head and a throbbing headache. I wanted to go back in the afternoon to take the Chinese Paper 2, but I couldn't. =/

FIRST TIME I MISSED AN EXAM. ><

Anyway...I got back a test today. Amath Chapters 7 and 8. I thought I did badly, but I found out the second line we had to draw was worth 2 marks. And since I didn't draw the line, I lost two marks. Plus an additional mark lost due to a really STUPID mistake lol.

Amath test: 17/20 ^^

*points to title* The sunlight really is nice at the moment. It makes everything seem so peaceful and warm and oldish. o.O I'm not sure how to explain it.

Anyway, I got back a few tests today:

Biology Common Test - 30/36 ^^
Literature Common Test - 18/25 ^^

Quite pleased with my results, actually. Oh well, dunno about today's Amath Test. On surds, indices and logarithms. It was okay, not that difficult. But it's always hard to say with Ms. Lim's test. -_-

Ugh...today's oral exam was...screwed. Worst than last year's one, and that was already bad enough. Sigh.

Read the passage. Stopped at one word (di zi). Blanked out. The teacher told me how to read the word. o.o

Came to the conversation. Didn't hear the topic properly (teacher's china accent) and talked about the wrong thing! >< LOL. Managed to come up with something to say.

Smiled when I couldn't think of anything to say.

Ohh, I got a measly score for my recent math test. Well, at least I passed. =/
I got a pretty good score for my Physics test though. I'm pretty happy about that. ^^

I have to study for my Chinese test...at least no more Gong Han to memorise! =D That's somthing to be happy about.

Well, I celebrated my birthday yesterday night with my relatives and family friends. The cake was nice. ^^

I better go and do my homework....A lot of it too. Sigh. -_-

There was hail in Singapore yesterday. Yes, HAIL. It was in Bishan, Braddell and Toa Payoh, and the hailstones were only slightly larger than beads, but still, in tropical Singapore?

"But the sound of the rain was different - it sounded more like solid things were falling." ......The beads were solid pieces of ice....The hailstones fell for about 10 minutes.....The last time hail fell here was in July last year.

Woah. A strange phenomenon. o.o What's the world coming to?

Yesterday there was a car crash.

A father, mother, grandmother and two-year-old son died. They died on the spot except for the father, who died in the hospital due to his injuries. =(

The sole survivor was a two-month-old baby, who was found 10m away from the site of the crash. The entire car had been literally torn into two when it slammed into the tree. The baby girl survived almost unscathed except for a few light bruises on her forehead. A miracle? Did someone roll the baby out the window before the car crashed? I don't know.

But it's so painful to read about this. The girl, the orphan, will never know here parents and her brother. =( It's really heart-wrenching...

I finally managed to come onto the computer. o.o But I'll have to go off soon.

Well, recently there were some common tests. I was really LUCKY sia. I never imagined I could get these marks.

Chem(redox & metals right?) - 30.5/35(was 31.5 but I lost 1 mark because I wrote 'cobalt paper' instead of cobalt(II) chloride)
Math(trigonometry) - 25/30 (this one is pure luck with qn 2 ><)

Other tests:
Chinese(yan yu and gong han 4C) - 26/30
Chinese(yan yu and gong han 5A) - 27.5/30
Chem(energy changes) - 20/20
Bio SPA Theory test - 16.5/25 T_T
Math(Circles & Plane geometry) - 8/16 (would have failed if Ms. Lim didn't cancel first qn)
English compre - 20/25 =O

I think that's about all. SIGH. My parents expect me to get good results...I doubt I can. ><

I'm just writing a quick post. Came on to get my Physics homework off the ACP.

Yesterday night we had a great dinner at my house, celebrating my brother's and one of our family friend's son's birthdays. The night was long, and I was exhausted after that. =) I went out for lunch too, yesterday, and the food was good. So was the cake. ;]

Today I'm busy as well. =/ Going to my aunt's house for lunch and to a close family friend's house for dinner. One of them wants to borrow my Biology notes because he claims his teacher's notes are useless. ^^" Well, I have to chiong my homework now! Not to mention the Amath Test I have to study for. Ugh, Plane Geometry.

Anyway, on Friday night the guitar ensemble performed at the Gaia Mania concert. We did okay...I guess. I didn't feel nervous at all. The stage was too crammed though, and I could barely move my fingers to press the higher frets. Luckily I managed to. o.o

I should go and do my homework now. I'm not doing the second SS SEQ since I don't know how to. xD But I'll do my best to finish the rest. Chemistry test tomorrow! T_T I haven't started studying.

Holiday homework
I think there's too much for so little time. But of course, I should get off the computer and do my work. Still, I have so much homework:

English compo: not done

Math: a little done (and a lot of it too!)

Swimming
In case anyone is wondering, I have quit swimming. I still go for leisure once in a while, but no more intensive training - it's too stressful for me. >< I know it's beneficial to my health, but this is one thing I can't bring myself to do.

Taekwondo
Wrote about it in the previous post. I have to work harder for this, otherwise I'm done for (reverse kick! so impossible to do...><). LOL.

Piano
My piano teacher asked: 'Why did nobody choose the first two songs that you chose?' I shrugged. Now I know! The songs are super fast...My fingers are jumping over one another and I miss some keys. >< Not only that, my scales need to pick up speed and my sight reading is going to fail...

Weather
It's been raining non-stop. It's also pretty chilly nowadays. Hope the rain lets up soon. It's getting misty too...

It rains EVERYDAY

Yesterday night we went out for dinner to celebrate my brother's 8th birthday. My grandmother was feeling vegetarian that day, so she insisted on eating vegetarian dishes. But she ate 1 or 2 pieces of chicken. ;] My father ordered too much as usual, and we had to 'da bao' some of the food home. The cake was nice - chocolate, but my brother didn't eat very much because he was too preoccupied with his new Nintendo DS. -_-"

My sister and I were rather high at the dinner. It didn't help that my father was saying weird things:

1. Father: Hmm, these long beans feel Italian.
Me: Why did you touch the beans?
Father: What do you mean?
Me: Well, you said the beans feel Italian.
And we went on about correct English. It should be 'I feel that this dish is
Italian.' Right?

2. Father: What I like about hot-plate dishes is that the food is hot.
My sister and I burst out laughing.
Father(upon realising what he said): What I meant was, the dishes are hot, no,
I mean, the dishes stay hot longer!

3. Grandmother: I don't like the fact that a lot of vegetarian dishes have meat.
We stared at each other.
Mother: If they have meat, then the dishes aren't vegetarian.
Grandmother: No, many vegetarian dishes sprinkle meat on top.
Us: Then it isn't vegetarian anymore!
After a long discussion(and much laughing), my grandmother refused to admit she
had made a mistake. xD

Of course, it doesn't seem funny now, but it did at the moment. ^^ The food was great anyway, and I ate quite a lot. o.o I should start a jogging regime. Which reminds me; the furthest I've ever run is 3.6km. It was last last Saturday. I should do that again! ^^

Taekwondo tomorrow. >< I enjoy the classes a lot although I'm not very good at it. Seeing some of the higher belts kick (Wow!O.O), it spurs me to put more effort. Otherwise I feel inferior. ^^"

Well, I should do my holiday homework NOW. =/

Today we had a rehearsal for the Gaia Mania concert. We were the second school to rehearse - RGS went first with their angklong emsemble. Which was pretty cool, I admit. =) We didn't do that well, but the man in charge said it was an improvement from when he heard it two or three weeks ago. (my section had just learnt the second song an hour before he came to watch)

The time passed in a blink of an eye. Alicia said 'Time flies when you're hungry'. I don't know about that, but none of us had eaten lunch. o.o After us, SCGS performed. I don't know what they did; we had already assembled in the 'holding room' (which was more like a holding hall since it was so big).

Nevertheless, I am looking forward to the performance on Friday. =)

Well, I was thinking back on a few things, but I can't seem to remember anything now. Maybe I'll discuss them in a later post. ^^"

Well, I have to go now - piano class.

Heh, haven't posted in months. But then, that isn't a bad thing because I doubt anyone will read this post. ;] Well, today is the start of our March holidays, or as my sister's friend said, 'the start of a few days where we can wake up a bit later than usual but still be as busy.' I have to go back to school everyday for guitar practice and Physics and Biology tutorials. Sigh...there is a rehearsal tomorrow actually, at the NTUC building near Shenton Way. Quite looking forward to it. =) It's for a concert on Friday - Gaia Mania. (I heard Goh Chok Tong may be there o.o)

On Saturday night I went to a Malayalee concert which was jointly organised by a few 'golden girls' of the Singapore Malayalee Association; my grandmother included. Admittedly, I didn't know such an organisation existed. o.O" But I found out a few things - SMA has been ongoing for 91 years(*gasp*) and is the biggest Malayalee association outside Kerala. I only went because my father bought tickets to support my grandmother. That, and I wanted to support 4 of my second cousins who were performing an Indian dance. (two of them are my age; two are a year older)

It was pretty cool. The dances comprised of traditional and classical ones, but there were modernised dances which were fast-paced(and cool!^^). The dancers were all young, and really good. There were 3 songs as well; one was sung by two sisters around my age. They were good. =) There was a comedy sketch about the hazards of the Internet. I could follow the gist of it, but I cannot understand Malayalee, so I couldn't follow what the father in the skit was saying. =/ Overall, I'm glad I went. My cousins were grateful that my family came to support them too. I also realised one thing: Almost ALL the Malayalees in Singapore are connected (even the newslady on Channel 5 is the granddaughter of one of my grandfather's good friends^^)

Anyway, about my L1R5 - I got 9. Not too bad, I guess. It was my Social studies that dragged it down. =/ I only got 9/18 for that test because I didn't 'use my own words', as quoted from Miss Noriff. >< Aiming for a 7 or 8 for my O-levels. A 6 wouldn't be too bad. ;] But I don't want to aim too high yet.

Well, I have to go and eat my dinner now. ^^ My brother's birthday is tomorrow and we're going out for dinner.

We toured Stratford on foot for the entire day. First, we walked past Shakespeare’s birthplace. We were going to come back later for a full tour so we did not stop there for long. On the way, we passed an all-boys school (it was quite secluded and locked up) and also Hall’s Croft.

The first actual tour was at Anne Hathaway’s cottage. There were a few other tour groups (I think we were the youngest) and we waved to them on the way. Opposite the cottage was a fenced field with sheep in it. They were quite difficult to see because trees blocked our view of the field.

We saw really fat hens, sheep, one cute little lamb, geese and rare species of birds.

UK Day 1(Part 2)

We drove to Stratford after the short tour of London. We had some free time before lunch, so the five of us wandered around the park. There were so many swans, ducks and fat (really fat) pigeons all freely waddling around the park.

First, we walked round the park, taking pictures of ducks, swans and cygnets (baby swans). We saw some people feeding the birds, so we too bought some swan food; two packets, and each of us paid 20 pence. Although the label said ‘swan’ food, the ducks and pigeons were more than happy to help the swans eat the food. The two packets were used up fast.

While feeding the swans from the bridge, we saw the four boys from our UK group rowing a boat, so we rented a rowboat as well. The 5 of us paid 3 pounds each to ride on it for an hour. Unfortunately, we only had half an hour since we had to be back at a certain time.

Grace and Nicole sat at the back and took pictures, Rachelle and I managed an oar each, sitting in the middle while Lavinia handled two oars at the back. While rowing the boat (without ANY prior experience), we hit the bank twice and one of the pillars of the bridge; we had to push off with our hands. There were also designated ways to go under the bridge (indicated by arrows), but we couldn’t manoeuvre the boat through the correct way. Luckily, no one saw us…Or so we thought. People were watching us from the bridge; laughing to themselves or trying to tell us what to do. I guessed we looked quite comical.

It was difficult steering the boat in the right direction because we had to coordinate the movements of the three of us who were managing the four oars. We rowed back to the dock when the time was nearing, and we saw the boys’ boat in the distance. We docked first, and started to dash back to the meeting place. We had only 5 minutes left. The boys had some trouble rowing back and almost hit a boat at the dock, and one of them had to do it single-handedly (he probably had experience as he did it quite easily). An old man stopped Nicole on the way back, so I waited for her. He seemed to have talked about swans and boats. (?) We got back just in time.

We went to a restaurant called ‘Beefeater’. Since many people could not eat beef, we had chicken and fries for lunch. I ate some chicken, but it was a bit tasteless and tough, so I ate it with lots of salad leaves. I quite enjoyed eating the salad leaves, which I never ate back in Singapore. Nicole and I sat with the two teachers because there wasn’t enough space at the other table with Rachelle, Grace and Lavinia.

It was a pretty long drive, but we reached the Travelodge at about 9+ at night. We unloaded the luggage and walked inside the Travelodge. It was not very big, and the Travelodge itself was quite secluded.

Ms Koh was so kind; instead of Nicole, Rachelle, Lavinia, Grace and me in one 4-person room, we were given two rooms. So Nicole, Rachelle and I shared one room (108, I remember) while Grace and Lavinia shared the other.

The room had a TV (the only place we stayed in that had one), but it was spoilt…So we couldn’t watch it. The view at the window was of the main road, so we could hear cars driving; and pretty purple flowers at the grass right outside the window. It was already after 9pm, but the sky was still as bright as noon. Only at about after 10pm did the sky grow dark. As for the sleeping arrangements, Rachelle slept on the pull-out bed from the sofa, while Nicole and I shared the double bed.

UK Day 1(part 1)

We touched down ahead of schedule, so the bus driver took us to a small rest stop to relax for an hour; and to kill time. It was super cold! It wasn’t so much the temperature, but the chilly winds. We left at 7.30 and at 8+, a tour guide arrived.

We visited the Buckingham Palace and watched the Guard Change. The guards change shifts.
Points to note about Buckingham Palace:
- During the Guard Change, the guards aren’t the ones with bearskin hats, but the ones in blue, who are members of the British Army. These guards come only a few weeks a year, as they have other military things to do.
- The Queen stays on the first floor, while the King stays on the floor above her.
- When the Queen is present in the palace, the standard flag will be flown. If she isn’t in, the Union Flag will be flown instead.
- On her birthday (which was during our trip but we did not attend the parade because we were in other parts of U.K.), she goes to the top of the palace and waves to the people below.
- The staff has its own private quarters.

We also passed many more places; City Hall, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, Big Ben and the famous Trafalgar Square.

About the places we passed:
- Big Ben is really big. It also has a miniature counterpart called Little Ben, which is very small compared to the actual thing.
- Trafalgar Square is where big events are held. It has a fountain in the middle of it and numerous statues around; one of them being a lion.
- There is a place called Piccadilly Circus. No, it’s not really a circus, but a place where many roads meet.
- We saw the famous London Bridge. We also saw Waterloo Bridge, which isn’t as big.
- There was a fire called the Fire of London some time ago. The fire lasted for 5 days. The fire sustained so long because firstly, the houses’ roofs were made of thatch, which was a material that caught fire very easily. Secondly, the winds were strong and this caused the fire to spread rapidly. The fire started in a bakery, where a careless worker left the stove fire burning.
- We passed the Royal College of Music, the railway station, the Blackfriars Bridge, County Hall and St. Albert’s Memorial. St Albert was Queen Victoria’s first cousin, but she was scheduled to marry him. Sadly, he passed away. Queen Victoria was so affected by his death that she built a memorial for him and wore black clothing for the rest of her days till she passed away.
- We also visited St Paul’s Cathedral. We did not get to go inside the actual building, but we went in the side of the building, where toilets and a small eatery are located. There was a gate to block us from going inside the actual cathedral. The toilets were very clean…but the food and water were ridiculously priced. But due to the immense thirst we had, a few of us bought water.

Hey...updating for Claire's benefit. o.O

Umm, September holidays aren't really holidays at all. My father made my sister and I do work EVERYDAY. I went swimming on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. I have to go this weekend to. Man, I have a LOT of catching up to do.^^"

I swam until my body's aching. My dad's a bit temperamental nowadays. He loses his temper so fast. o.O

He brought us to watch Ratatouille today. It was pretty good. =) The food made me hungry though. o.o I feel like watching Hairspray. The songs are pretty good - I heard them because they played the soundtrack before Ratatouille started.^^

I'm so tired...I still have things to do. But for tonight, we're seeing off a family friend because she's going to the UK. ^^

That reminds me, I never posted anything about the UK trip. Not much, anyway. I shall do so in my next few posts.

Sigh, had Physics test today. Wasn't as hard as I expected...Whew. I also got back my Englishj compre test yesterday. 39/50. Not very bad lah...My A.math, on the other hand...*cough*...Don't need to say...

Practicing for my 3 piano exam songs. The third one is pretty difficult. Must jump back and forth with the left hand a lot. Luckily, I'm taking my practical exam next year. Got plenty of time to practice and prefect my songs and scales. =)

Wow, today was Racial Harmony Day! Ms Khoo looked nice in the pink panjabi. =)

I have piano class in 5 mins, so this post will be short.

Today 3B had to do the kolam. Super nice!!! Yuen Man designed it, my dad helped to buy he coloured rice and everyone pitched in to help. ^^ I got my hands purple from the dyed rice. The design was so elaborate we thought we couldn't finish; we did eventually(I hope). Our chapteh stall did well too. =)

Oh my. I haven't posted for ages. Hahaha, I don't think anyone will read this. ^^"

Well...what can I say? I like 3B, although I only knew 2 or 3 people inside at first. Yeah...a bit late to say that now. So I shall move on to current events.

I got 34 or 36 over 40 for my Bio test - the one we got after June holidays; 40 MCQ. The Chinese shao nian wen zhai test I almost failed - 26/50 - but then again, more than half the class failed. -_- So I'm happy I at least managed a pass. Our Chinese teacher is Cai lao shi; 2B's ACC teacher last year. She's okay, quite nice, although a bit fierce at times.

And I'm sorry if sometimes I walk past the 2B people and I don't say hello. I always seem to be in a rush....-_- Either that or I feel awkward?

Anyway, I have to stop now. Will try and post more later. =)

Guitar got GOLD WITH HOUNOURS! WOOHOO! I'm so extremely happy; it's hard to describe. I didn't scream or cry....Haha, I cheered though. ^^

I have to start concentrating for Mid-year exams. My results are average now, and my Chinese results are higher now, since I dropped to Express Chinese.

I HAVE TO STUDY HARDER. Or I will be disappointed with myself...So I will go now and hopefully will not be distracted from my studying. =)

Well, I'm finally 15 today. 3rd of April. ^^ Thanks to everyone who wished me happy birthday today! ^^ It seems like any normal day though...=/

School's been so busy. I'm disappointed with my last term's L1R5 so I won't say it. I'm determined to work harder for this term though! ^^

Recently, I noticed there were a lot of newspaper articles on global warming - unusual weather, erratic weather patterns....What is our world coming too? The warmest winter EVER recorded...o.o

Today had a looong morning. I was starving before recess. 11.20.....

I have 4 tests this week. English Literature, Physics, Chemistry and A.Math. I will probably fail Physics and Math. Yep. *sigh*

Last Friday a girl in my class collapsed and was sent to the hospital. It was during Chemistry Lab. lesson. o.o Everyone was worried. She was discharged yesterday.

June Yeo - She has annoying habits. E.g.:
Hitting the board with a marker.
Pronouncing some 'ion' words very weirdly. For example, 'question' becomes 'questiooon.' o.O

She was telling us, on Friday, how slowly we walk. "You young people nowadays walk sooooo slow! Especially when you all walk down for assembly. Soooo slow! If you have a disease, I understand. And if you walk faster, your legs will be stronger and your heart will beat faster! Your bodies will be well-oiled; well-used."

And she also said "There will be NO SPEAKING OF ENGLISH IN MY CLASS." Everyone burst out laughing and she paused. "Wait, what did I say? I mean, no speaking of Chinese in my class. Good, you were listening." -_-"

I had taekwondo class last Thursday.^^ I admit, I anyhow kicked.....Lost balance a lot....Then I stepped on a stone and cut my foot. I stumbled and did not do the next kick. The boy behind me almost kicked me, but managed to stop. We got scolded....^^" But the instructor was quite understanding....

I received my Chinese test yesterday. I got 65.5/100. I never got 60+ since Sec 2 leh....Express Chinese is easier. :p

I have FOUR tests next week. Chemistry Chapter 1-3, A.Math, E.Lit and Physics. I have to study like mad during the weekend.

I had to wake up at 6.45am today to study for E.Math test today. =/ I already got two questions wrong....*sigh*.....-_-

June Yeo scares me. One minute smiling; the next minute not. The two girls in front of me were talking, and she moticed, and she said "Both of you over there talking non-stop....What's your problem? Please stop talking." She said 'what's your problem" in a gangster-like way. o_o

I'm a white-yellow belt for taekwondo...Heh, so pathetic. Oh well, you can never be too old to learn something new....

I'm trying to learn how to play 'Houki Boshi' on the piano. No, I don't watch Bleach. I was just surfing an anime music website when I saw there was sheet music for it. It looked easier than a lot of the others. =/

I don't know what to write now....except that I had 4 tests last week. Biology test, Chemistry 'test'(it's a scam!), English common test and Social Studies test. I have a Math test next Thursday.....-_-

All my future anime skins will be anime skins. I just found out my first skin and this skin were created by the same person. Heh. o_O Should I change my blogskin?

The Secondary 1s came today. 21 of them. o.o I talked to Zhi Yan and Joy the most. There are 5 boys and 16 girls.

Had the ke wen Chinese test. My sister didn't bring home her Express Chinese Sec 2 textbook, so I couldn't read the ke wen's again; that was disappointing. I wrote RUBBISH for the answers. Heh....

Had taekwondo last night. Was half doing the new pattern, hald sleeping = blundering around and making mistakes. The teacher didn't scold me though. I'm a white-yellow belt now! At least I hope so. I don't think I failed...o.O

Hmm. Realised I have more things to say...

For geog project, went to Queenstown then Yishun to take pictures. Taxi fare: $44. At least the taxi driver nice lah. From Queenstown bring us to Yishun then back to Anglican High. We (Rachel Yeo, Jonathan, Xin Hui and me) ate near Fairfield Methodist school the hawker centre. The food SUCKED. Seriously. So much vinegar. I didn't finish my food. =/

Hmmm...I'll write about interesting things that happened in the past two weeks.

I got my Edusave scholarship. It was at Bedok Green Secondary School. Saw Graci and Kang Ning there. They called our names, then we went on stage to take a group photo. -_- My mom told me I didn't stand properly. o.O She said I didn't stand straight. Heh.

3B is okay. Still don't know everyone yet, though it is the 3rd week of school. Pathetic....Nevermind.....

Math is hard. Well, I wouldn't know, because I honestly don't listen during lessons. I just do my own stuff, stare at the papers the teacher's showing, or do the math questions we're supposed to do for homework. -_-"

I was sick. Friday night to Sunday night. I was dizzy on Monday, with a horrible cough, so my fther told me to stay home in case my fever came back. So I didn't go to school on Monday. Missed PE. Hehe.

Don't know what to write now. Pretty boring life. Time flies. o_o

Ok,ok, the posts Leona and Leon post very long. I've made some new friends. Did you know at least half my class are sports poeple?

Anyway, on Friday, when we were having English(?), Young Yee came into the classroom. He said he had transferred. Our class already had 40 people, so we thought it was very weird. Then the teacher asked him whether he was in the correct class. He asked whether it was 3C. We're in 3B... So he hastily left the classroom. Can't blame him lah...3B has no signboard(?).

June Yeo, the English teacher, kept on asking the monitor to do everything - ask the general office to put up a sign for 3B, fix the squeaky and shaky table and put new batteries in the clock. Sh'es quite scary...o_o One moment smiling, one moment frowning. Her mouth turns down at the corners...

My Bio teacher is Mdm Caroline Ho, Math teacher is Miss Lim Geok something..., Chinese teacher..umm...dunno her name, Chem teacher is Miss Trina, Physics teacher is also my form teacher, Mr.Ong Eng Kiat etc.

Okay, better go now, got Math homework. Taekwondo grading this morning also, so I'm tired. There were a lot of white belts older than me. Oh well, you're never to old to learn something new. =)

*sigh* I have to change to a class which has no one from 2B at all. It's depressing....even more depressing, my parents want me to continue with HCl. I think I will crack....I'm afraid. Afraid to make new friends, afraid of going to a new class. I always felt I never really belonged...

Blah blah blah, like anyone wants to know anyway...o_o Aiya, nevermind.

Cannot say anything about my new class, since I'm most probably dropping HCL anyway.

I have so many feelings cooped up in me, so many desires and secrets bursting to be told.
Then I think of the less fortunate people in the world, and I realise...I'm lucky. But if you've never experienced anything like that, how is it even possible to imagine what kind of problems they face? So I'm stuck in this bubble, separate from the outside world.

Seriously, I would rather spend my time in my CCA all day long, then go around facing school, home and stress.

I need to CHILL. That's what a CCA friend told me. Heh.

At least I told someone a secret I had. I still have it. But it's a secret. I know I'm not making sense, and I'm sorry.

I was wondering, what time did you guys wake up everyday during the holidays? For me I woke up about 6+, near 7, or 7+. The earliest I woke up was 5.10am, because we went to pick up my father from the airport. Second earliest was 6.15am, because we had to go swimming. Latest? Hmm......8+, but that was the only day. Second latest had to be 7.30 something.....*sighs* Never get to sleep in, so pathetic. Oh well......

I woke up at 6am today to do my homework. Blahz. Very tired now.....zzZZ.......

Yeah....still have homework to do....more han halfway through san guo yan yi......halfway doing 1 jian bao, still have to do one more jina bao and a zuo wen. Then got the revise ke wen thing. That's rubbish la. I'm dropping to Express Chinese, must 'revise' a whole new textbook. I think I'm going to die. Never mind lah, I always do this(put off), I should be able to finish.

I probably should be going now. Just recounting the last few days' events.

Guitar:
Sec 1 Orientation. Didn't talk to any of them, because I wasn't in charge of anything. So I just performed the trio thing and the whole guitar ensemble song TWICE. 'Cause got two batches. The first time we played horribly, but luckily the second time was better. Much better.

Swimming:
Unpleasant occurences at home due to swimming. Shan't go into detail.

School matters:
Same class as Abigail, Hui Ling, Ehren, SPC, Yu Heng, Graci, Mei Wei and Xin Hua. At least I know some people. =)

Feeling depressed now. TO MY HOMEWORK I SHALL GO!!!!!!

Spamming my own blog leh.

Wanted to talk some more.

My legs still hurt from Sunday's training, as in 17 December the training. We did a lot of frog jumps. My thighs and knees need more training sia. Pathetic. Cannot even walk down stairs properly.But today not very pain. Just a little bit. My sister had modern dance yesterday(still very pain for us) and because her left leg was especially pain, when they jumped up and landed on a foot, she came crashing down. Poor her. =/

Taekwondo yesterday. Cannot kick high because of my leg aches. *Sighs* I cannot kick high anyway. Not like my sister. Ballet. Hmm.......

I also have a backache. Taekwondo need to kick a lot. Front kick, turning kick, backthrust....Confusing. And those little kids can actually remember the different kicks and patterns. Hats off to them.

Oh yeah, I got a Edusave scholarship award. For students in top 5-10% of the level. Heh, top 5% get $500, top 10% get $300. I will get $500. Dunno whether it is money or voucher. At the start of the letter they said voucher, but at the end they said cheques....o_o On 6th January will find out. XD According to my calculations, the top 42 pupils in Sec 2 will get this award. At least I think so. =)

Oh yeah, the SEA games, table-tennis...Lee Jia Wei lost!!!! So infuriating to watch. The China girl always hit so fast....=/ Oh well, she did pretty well.

I must come on everyday to check the NEA website for Sulphur Dioxide concentrations in the air. :p Hope we can do well for the competition. At least not so much pressure, because it's the school's first time participating. I was the only one who collected the samples. Bah...

Swimming:

Swam so much I can barely move my arms.
On Tuesday afternoon, I reached there on time. In the morning, I went to collect the samples for the Geography project. Blah blah. The reservoir water sample, the soil, bark and leaf samples and the rain sample from my grandparents in Bukit Batok. Only one sample of rainwater. We were supposed to collect 2. o_o

We did 60 BOY'S push-ups (heh, if you can call them push-ups xD), 75 of goodness-knows-what-kind-of-exercise( some kind of jumping in and out while in a push-up position), some ridiculous stretching, and some pulling here and there. Then we swam. It rained really heavily for 5/10 mins, so that lessened the time we had for class.

Swam and swam. When we did the sprinting, my lungs were bursting, begging for the oxygen they required. I couldn't give it to them. I couldn't stop. Better swim slow than not swim at all, eh? o.O Yeah well, I struggled and survived. Man, I sound like a tragic war survivor. o_o Heh, I guess swimming benefits me.

Did you know swimming burns more calories than running, cycling and dancing? I think it's because we have to put in an extra effort to pull ourselves through the water. We are going against the water, instead of air. o_O

Guitar:

Playing 'Marraige d'amour' for guitar. A trio thing for the Sec 1 Orientation. I guess the councillors can see me up there, right in front...xD At first, Mr Shi(the conductor and teacher) said it was too difficult for us three, and changed it to JINGLE BELLS, but switched it back again. *breathes a sigh of relief*

I need to go now. Younger siblings whining away. I'm also setting up the Christmas tree with my family before my father goes back to Oman tomorrow....:( Oh well. =) See you. Hope this will be read.

Due to some urging, I have decided to make it an effort to post more often.

Okay, today I had guitar. It was supposed to be from 8-5, but that was changed to next Monday. Two full days of guitar next week. o_o

I have swimming tomorrow and Sunday. Wish me luck.

I haven't been reading much. Only when my father reminds me to read encyclopedias. I had a guitar barbequeue last week, and we had an Amazing race. We went as far as City Hall! o_O Boy, was I tired.

I collected my books today. They were HEAVY. And there is no stock of the Physics textbook. -_-

I finally got 三国演义! What a relief. Man....still got so much homework to do....

My brother is going to Saint Andrew's Primary School next year; Primary 1. The same school my father attended when he was a kid. Right now, he's watching Mr Bean: The animated series.

I don't know if you guys see it as childish....but I'm playing Pokemon Emerald now....I can't catch Relicanth or Latias.......Oh well. I have to finish my homework!!!!!

Darn. The blog is dying.I had a feeling it wouldn't last. o_O

I'm so busy everyday, but yet so lethargic. I haven't read the 'qi gai' book yet. Only the first few pages.......I've read the English book though.

Hmm.....anything exciting happened to me....? Oh yeah, for that Geog project, I have to go all the way to the WEST, on the other side of Singapore to collect rain samples........I haven't done it yet and it's due on the 7th of December.

My father made my sister and I create targets for what to do in the Holidays. I have to read 3 encyclopedias(of which I have read 1 and a half), 4 National Geographic articles and blah blah.......Alot of things lah.

I cannot find 'san guo yan yi'!!!!!!!!Must read that also.........................-_-

My sister had a WEIRD dream yesterday. She dreamt that she was at the taekwondo class, and a van showing toilet commercials drove past. o_o I dreamt that my sister stole all my clothes, and for some reason, everyone believed they were hers. =/

I wake up a 6+,7+ everyday. CAN'T SLEEP. And yet I'm so tired.

My body is aching from swimming. I swam 2.5 KM. More than 2.4. o_o

I'm unsure of what to say to everyone. Leona was so hardworking; spending all that time taking pictures and posting messages to everyone in class! XD

I know that I was quiet in class....it's not that I wanted to be...I just didn't know what to say. I still don't know many of you in depth, but it was nice to be in the same class. And I'm glad everyone took an effort to bond the class together during the Beijing trip.

I will miss 2B, but I guess next year will be a whole new experience. I'm glad I got into Literature. =) Hmmm...the people in 2B who are in my class next year are Abigail, Analise and Yeni(but you're switching out..). I guess everyone will make new friends in their new classes...=)

I don't know what to write now...

I wonder what kind of impression I've made on everyone? o_o

A secret. Wrenching away inside of me. Dying to be told, but a secret's a secret.

Nevermind about that. Sorry for not posting for so long...was so busy. Guitar 3 times a week....Mon and Wed - 4.5 hours, Friday - 8 hours. =/ Plus swimming and other activities. I, out of all the possible ones in guitar, was chosen, along with two other Sec 2s, to play in a trio for the oreintation. =/ Why ME? Now I have to learn two new songs, one for SYF, one for this. Oh well, I'm going to do my best. ^_^

The Beijing trip was great! Climbing the Great Wall of China was hmm...difficult. The food wasn't fantastic, but it was fun spending time with everyone. And I almost enjoyed shopping. =) I'm not really a shopping kind of person. The freaky thing was, for all three stays in the two hotels and hostel, Andrea and I ALWAYS got the corner room. And even freakier, we heard a man singing at the Emergency Exit staircase. I know the Karaoke Lounge was very nearby, but that sure wasn't it. =/

But I missed Singapore so much. It's AWESOME to be back home. =) Shed a few tears during the trip, for one reason or another, but things were sort of sorted out. =/ How relieved I was when the plane landed in Singapore. How glad I was to feel the warm climate. How happy I was to see my family. And the food! Yum. Homecooked food once again. =)

I will really miss 2B. I barely know some of you, but I'll miss all of you. I'm looking forward to the barbequeue. I heard it was changed to Friday. Is it true? I'd better go find out...Soooooooo.....don't know what to say know...I may be sensitive, but not sentimental...

Whee! Got first in class, tied with Chin Hwee. My father 'motivated' me. He said if I got within the top 20 in level, he'd buy me a new phone. o_o

Enough about that....the chinese teachers personally came to me and asked me whether I wanted to drop Higher Chinese. Ugh. I think I will. Oh well.

Had some Geography project/competition meeting today. It starts next year but we had to come up with a topic by today. The poor 2A girl has to do the write-up on her own because the remaining 3 of us(including Xin Hui) are going to China.

I feel so DEPRESSED.

I don't know why.

Reading a book called 'My sister's keeper'. Quite a long book, but undoubtedly interesting. It's about a girl who sues her parents for the right to her own body. She was genetically created to donate blood and other medical stuff to her older sister, who has a rare form of cancer.My sister already read it and told me Kate, the sick sister miraculously recovered and poor Anna, the donor, died due to a car crash. The story is told from many different points of view. From Anna to her mother to her father to the Campbell, the lawyer to Jesse, her brother to finally, Kate herself.

My parents are returning tomorrow from the Middle East. I missed them. =) They were gone for more than a week. Can't wait for them to come back. =)

School lasted for two hours today. It was okay, but those irritating people at the back were SO ANNOYING(I know irritating and annoying mean the same thing; I just said annoying for emphasis).

Came back home and did practically nothing. Read a little, surfed the net and played Pokemon on my gameboy for a short while.

Them my sister came home. She borrowed 'Mulan' and 'Mulan 2' from her friend and we watched them. I loved the songs. ^_^ Bored now, though.

Still feeling very DEPRESSED. I still don't know why.

Captain's ball and soccer competitions today. I didn't play though. The twobee people did very well! Congratulations to them. =) And as for soccer, that 2H guy's acting wasn't vey convincing.............The 2H won all the competitions, but that doesn't matter. =)

My siblings had no school today. My sister's school had a marking day last Friday, then school on Monday. Then another marking day today. Maybe her school doesn't want them to have a long weekend....o_O

All day CCA tomorrow! No comments...People seem to dread it though.....Personally, I don't mind.

And thanks for all the people that cheered me up when I found out I failed my Chinese. My parents haven't found out yet, because I haven't had the chance to tell them. They're BOTH overseas in the Middle East. And they haven't called since Sunday.....They're returning on Saturday though. =)

My sister's always watching Disney shows on youtube and my brother's always playing Hot Wheels on his gameboy. Plus my sister's also playing Pokemon LeafGreen. They have the new gameboys, while I'm stuck with the old one, with no built-in light.....but I don't want to buy a new, expensive one when I'm perfectly happy with this one. I don't wear glasses, but my sister does. I think my brother will be next....forever watching TV and playing gameboy. Lucky me. =)

Ending here. Having a Primary 6 class Gathering on 1 December. The FIRST time in almost TWO years. Whee. =)

First time I failed in end year exam. Darn the composition. Still, there's hope. Have they counted in the CA and Mid-year marks yet? No need for tears. Just study harder next time. =) (optimism....)
This is why I'm taking normal Chinese next year. Is it any wonder I chose literature over History and Geog? I had 76.8 for literature. Better than History. I was lucky for Geog. =p

Finally, all the results have come. Except for our English Paper 1.Hope I get decent marks. Hehe, was sooooo bored when all our test papers returned. Nothing to do except talk to Andrea and play games (scissors paper stone etc.).
Home : Surfing the net, reading, drawing and playing Pokemon on my gameboy....(hehe...childish). Oh, and watch television. Don't watch much though. Never did.

EXAMS ARE OVER!!!!!I'm so relieved.

My brother loves that pokemon song on your blog, Poh Chun. He keeps on asking me to play it for him. -_-"

Anyway, back to the exams. I think I failed Chinese....as usual.....And I don't think I did well for history. I didn't remember ANY of those abbreviations for the UMNO, and whatever else there are. I left them BLANK. I'm screwed....

My sister made me really mad the past few mornings. I woke up in the morning, bathed and ate my breakfast. Usually, I read the newspapers until it's time to leave. So there I was, reading the 'Home' section intently, and my sister comes up and asks: ' Are you done?'. So I say, no, if I was done, I wouldn't be reading it. She goes off. The next morning and the morning after that, she says the same thing. I said the same answer everytime until I lost it yesterday morning.

I said, "IF I WASN'T done with it, would I be READING it?" She said, "Well, I thought you were done.You don't need to be so angry. WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM? (note: she always says that) I said," Well, I'm not done.Can't you see that there are a few pages left?" She said," I thought both of us don't read the Sports section?". I like looking through it, in case there is any news about Formula 1. We started arguing, and my mother had to intervene.

And you know what? She sided with my sister! She told me that I should have just said 'No, I'm not done with it.' Aaaaaah well...........-_-"

ANYWAY.......Michael Schumacher lost the race at Japan!!!!!!He was first, with Felipe Massa behind him, and Fernando was 3rd or 4th(I can't remember). Then my father switched the television off because I had to go and study. My father checked the internet that night, and told us the shocking news. ALONSO HAD WON. Michael Schumacher's car engine had caught on fire, and he was out of the race. Alonso came in first (goodness knows how he passed Massa), Massa second and Fisichella third.

For those that don't know,Michael Schumacher and Felipe Massa are partners. They represent Ferrari. Alonso and Fisichella represent Renault. Plus, the ONLY way Schumacher can beat Alonso and get the World Title is if Alonso finishes 8th or lower in the last race in Brazil, or if he gets disqualified. WHAT ARE THE ODDS??? But Schumacher was cool, he said he doesn't blame anyone, and that winning and losing are part of sportsmanship. Besides, he already won SEVEN world titles. =) But he's gonna retire soon.....

Oh yeah, I saw this primary school kid with her maid. They were walking back from school. It was burning hot outside, so the maid was holding up the umbrella for the girl. Since the maid was already carrying the girl's bag, a file, and a small purse(probably her own), she asked the girl to carry the umbrella herself. The girl, upon taking the umbrella, THREW it on the ground. Yes, THREW. Then she left the maid to pick it up. Atrocious. I went into the left with a girl maybe a year older than the previous girl and she was so polite. When I held open the lift, she gave a slight bow(like the ones we greet teacherswe walk past) and thanked me. Then she went out.

How can two girls be so different??? Strange. Their upbringing? Hmmmm.........

Hi....so long didn't post...haha,sorry,no time....

My father came back from his business trip after nearly THREE weeks....so my siblings and I were on our best behaviour for our mother(apart from the fights between my younger siblings XD).

So much homework the past few days, only got little time on Fridays.Tomorrow and Sunday must wake up at 6.30 for swimming lesson.... :( Not really looking forward to it, I must admit.

Soooo.....you guys should go and listen to Corrinne May's songs! She's really good. Go to her official website and play the songs at the bottom right hand corner. Trust me, she's really good. She's a Singaporean but lives in Los Angeles. I bought her CD already.

I had so many things to write, but my mind is blank now....Go figure.....

Anyone watches Top Gear? A few days ago, one of the three hosts got into a car accident. Sad actually. Luckily, he didn't die!I'm so relieved. =)

Went for my swimming time trial on Friday and Saturday. My timing for 50metres freestyle is about 41/42 seconds. It's better than last time,when it was 46, but i'm one of the worst for my age group....

Today is September 11. It reminds me of my trip to visit my uncle in New York.I stayed in America for 6 months when I was 9 (P3), and it was in Plano,Texas.We boarded a plane and 3 hours later, on September 15 (just a few days after the bombing). My parents did not want to waste the money we paid for the trip,so we had to go.I could actually see the smoke from the plane I was on. Quite scary,thinking about it. o_o

Well, I haven't done my art yet....Does anyone know when it must be done?

Yesterday went swimming at night at Chinese Swimming Club with my sister and mother.I swam for little while then went into the small hot tub with my sister while my mother swam. It was so hot, the water, that I felt like I was boiling.The bubbles made me feel like I was being cooked. -_- When I came out of the hot tub, I felt so dizzy.Dunno why.Then after that I had a headache.... :(

After the swim, we went to pick up my brother from his taekwondo class.He is going for his grading soon.In October I think. He is going to get a yellow belt! Haha. After that, we went home.

I woke up at 7.32am today.Still haven't done the art poster yet.WHAT IS THE THEME??? If not I can't do.... -_-" Why can't the teachers understand that we are not so free everyday? *sigh*

My father went to Middle East on a business trip on Tuesday for two weeks or so.He says he has to extend the trip though. My father was supposed to go somewhere else,but another man went instead.He was rather annoyed, because all the stuff he shipped there had to be shipped back again. So he didn't have his pillow for two weeks.(He was supposed to stay there for 3 years.).

Did not go swimming on Tuesday.But woke up at 6.30 anyway. -_-"

Went swimming yesterday. My sister had school,so she did not come. My mother brought my brother and I to the swimming class. When we got there,there was nobody except for some middle-aged people swimming.

We then found out that there was NO CLASS ON WEDNESDAYS.It is their rest day. So we swam on our own.I coached my mother(because she asked me too) and tried to coach my brother, but he wouldn't listen properly.In the end, I only managed to swim like 14-16 laps, 12 of them with flippers.

We left at 10.00 and went to MacDonalds for breakfast/brunch. Then we came home. Then my sister went to a modern dance class(her CCA) only to find out that the class was for the seniors, not for the secondary ones.So she came back.Then she went for her ballet at 6.00.

I woke up at 8.20 today. I meant to wake up late today since I haven't been able to for the past weeks. I wanted to wake up later,but the thought of Heymath compelled me to get out of bed. I haven't done the final tests yet. -_-

Better go now.I'll write something ineteresting in the future.

Went swimming yesterday morning.And today also.Woke up at 6.30. The China coach not as bad as I thought.When I was struggling with the long-distance yet fast laps,she actually told me 'jia you'. XD

My coach finished his course so he came back. My sister and I came for our stretching and saw one girl sitting alone with the coach(the other class was nearby though). Then we joined in and started our stretching. He made me do 70 leg raises,but made the rest do more,because all 4 of them(including my sister and a primary school boy) learn ballet.Even the boy.

Then we began our swimming class. We did 6 laps warm up,some sprinting, then my sister, another boy and I did 30 laps non-stop of freestyle.We used flippers though. :)

Have to go now.Oh yeah,I had a haircut today too. :)

Today I woke up at six thirty to go for my swimming class.My parents want me to go every day of the September Holidays except Wednesday....Well,two things happened during swimming.

My coach didn't come today,so the coach from the more advanced class took my class. She's from China- Coach Yen. She didn't allow me to use the restroom in the middle of the class. She said,"你们这些孩子，总是上厕所，上厕所，不可以!".She allowed two girls before me to go and did not allow me...Then she kept on asking me to go faster,and the only reason I was going slow was because I have asthma and I couldn't breathe properly.I didn't take my inhaler this morning.

The next thing that happened was amusing. When I was in the toilet of Chinese Swimming Club, there was this small girl arguing with her older sister.(I went into my cubicle at this point)Then,the little girl SCREAMED.Really loudly and shrilly.I heard a woman scolding the girl. She said,"Little girl,it's not good to scream like that.Why are you screaming like a BANSHEE?Do you do this at home,or at SCHOOL?Does your mother scream like that?" And then I don't know what happen.I think the woman left, and the older sister laughed at her little sister.

After my class,my parents brought us(my siblings and I) to this far far far away place.It took about 30 minutes to get there,and it was really secluded,near an army camp.It was called 'Poison Ivy[Bistro]'.It was a restaurant,and it grew its own food.So the place stank with the smell of organic fertiliser,but we didn't mind.

Then we entered the small diner,and were ushered into the corner table. My father was so annoyed by the houseflies(that were only in the corner) and squashed 4. XD It was disgusting. The food was quite nice,and the drinks(I got orange) were great! When we finished,my father took us on a tour around the place.

We went through jungle-like places.I was scared of the insects at first,but got over it when I realised it was all grass, tall grass, trees and more grass(and a few lizards).There was a lotus pond,and it was completely covered with lotuses,so much so that my little brother thought it was solid ground and wanted to walk on it. XD I stopped him,of course.

It was kind of cool.We saw the Ribena plant(It's a reddish-purplish fruit,and kind of resembles a dragonfruit), blood bananas(those red bananas), pineapples, longan,pomegranates(?), bottlegourds(a very long bean-like vegetable) and some bracket fungi along the way. And alot of dragonflies and butterflies. And 4 lizards.

Then I came home,ate my ice cream, and slept.Then I woke up. Should end here,I bet no one will read all the way until here,so bye. :)

My arms and back hurt,but not as much as yesterday...

Woke up at 7+ because I couldn't sleep,so woke up to pratice piano and surf the net.

My brother goes for his taekwondo class every Thursday night,and he always doesn't know what to bring so I have to carry all his stuff back(leg guards,arm guards,belt etc...)....A nice lady told us that every first and last week of the month wear the blue t-shirt,and every middle two weeks of a month wear full uniform...blah blah blah...other stuff happened in the taekwondo class,but I won't say....-_-"

Have to go now...don't want to fail my piano exam...X)

Anyone watches F1 car racing?Well,there was this recent race,and Felipe Massa won!It was quite shocking,because this is his first year racing for Ferrari.Michael Shcumacher was third. Fernando Alonso was second. His partner, Fisichella was 5th or 6th.So,Ferrari might just catch up. :) Right now Renault is in the lead because Fernando Alonso wwas first so many times...-_=.

Oh well.I hope Michael Schumacher won't retire after this season, or else a new member might come in. Go Ferrari.And Felipe Massa.At least Fernando was out in the race before that. But then Michael Schumacher was disqualified(dunno why!). Bah.

For those who do not know what I am rambling on about,go watch Formula One. :) It's one of the rare times I actually watch television,besides the cartoons and comedies my family watches. -_-"

Today was the day Anglican High School broke the Guiness World Record.And they couldn't even put the word 'Guiness' on the badge they gave us.

I came 30 minutes late,with Chin Hwee, Andrea, Geraldine, Vanessa, Yeni, Xin Hui and Leona. We took the correct bus, but got off at the wrong stop!Fortunately,we weren't the last.

I participated in the wheelbarrow race,and was the one crawling.I have to admit,the gloves were quite classy,but were slightly ruined by crawling on the grass. I sustained a BRUISE around my left eye,which is quite noticable.It was because I fell face flat into the grass when my friend practically shoved me into the ground....And it hurts.

I also got a few grazes on my elbows,but nothing serious.And it was so HOT and SUNNY out. Which made the event even worse.My arms and shoulders hurt as well.I have no arm strength whatsoever, so I was the second last to finish within my CCA. At least I wasn't THAT slow.....

Going to rest now.I have no idea why they put our compo exam tomorrow. How are we going to write???
